Do you remember...
...being five years old and playing dress up in school with all of your friends? You got to put on a princess dress and wave your wand made out of magic. Then you turned fifteen. You didn’t have to pretend anymore. On June 29th, you became that princess.
The Perfect Place
Chloe Muñoz and her family celebrated her once upon a time at Fox Hill – an enchanted location found in Danbury, Connecticut. Chloe elected this gorgeous venue because of their one of a kind aesthetic. There is no place that could have been more perfect to match Chloe’s vintage princess theme. This is actually one of the reasons why our princess chose her quinceañera theme… but the details were what sold her on it. The glam of the princess crowns, the look of vintage flowers, and the lovely lace.
All in the Family
Photographing a quinceañara celebration is always an occasion we treasure at pjr photography, especially when we are lucky enough to work with a family as beautiful as this one.
Chloe may not know it, but long before she was born she already meant to be. A sweet, funny, independent girl who is truly dedicated and never leaves home without her parents’ blessing. Juan actually had the privilege to photograph Chloe’s parents’ wedding on October 23, 1999 – 20 years prior to this magical celebration.
The ceremony was celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Chloe’s mother, Verónica, was excited to witness her princess enter this church with her beautiful long dress, dance with her father, and be together with all of the family and friends… celebrating their special little girl. Her father, José, could not contain his excitement to be to dance the waltz with Chloe.
It is a memorable moment at any event, but here it was pure love and happiness between a king and his little princess. Chloe’s quince was an emotional event. Her grandmothers, Angelina Hernandez and Petrona Muñoz flew in all the way from Guatemala to celebrate her transformation from girl to young woman.
For this occasion, there was no need for a classroom with pretend dresses. There was no playing to be princesses with magic wands and crowns. On Chloe’s special day there was love. There was beauty. There was glam. There were blissful memories being created and we were there to capture them.
